Do we prefer to listen to the melodic, twittering nightingale or do we rather enjoy the peace of the rooted tree? Anna Fusek, an exceptional artist, and her fellow musicians allow us to experience the exciting transition from 16th century polyphony to 17th century Continuo Practice. Works by the early Baroque composers Biagio Marini, Tarquinio Merula and Francesco Turini meet English Renaissance music by Christopher Tye, Anthony Holborne, Thomas Morley, John Baldwin and Thomas Robinson.
