One of the most beloved and celebrated opera stars of this decade, Jakub Józef Orliński has established himself as one of the world’s leading artists, triumphing on stage, in concert, and on recording. His sold-out concerts and recitals throughout Europe and America have attracted new followers to the art form. An exclusive artist on the Warner Classics/Erato label, his most recent recording accompanied by friend and pianist Michał Biel entitled “Farwell” earned him the prestigious Opus Klassik award for Male Singer of the Year (2023). His new album “Beyond” has been released in October 2023 and will tour throughout the world this season with Il Pomo d’Oro.
Jakub already has a global fanbase with hundreds of thousands of social media followers. Through his work as a model and influencer, he has collaborated with international brands including Netflix, Louis Vuitton, Levi’s, Nike, BMW, Lacoste and MAC Cosmetics. He is also an accomplished breakdancer – prizes include fourth place fourth place at the Red Bull BC One Poland Cypher competition, and second place at both the Stylish Strike – Top Rock Contest and The Style Control competition.
Highlights of this season include the highly anticipated 23 dates European tour of the new album in the Fall, and an American tour during spring. Jakub Józef Orlinski will also return on the operatic stage at the Theatre des Champs-Elysées, Paris in a new production of L’Olimpiade by Vivaldi. He will then join his long-time musical partner, pianist Michał Biel for exclusive recitals throughout Europe. Few other opera singers can claim to have conquered the stages of the world’s greatest concert halls and the covers of Polish Vogue, Esquire, and Elle, but this is a testament to Jakub’s unique pop star appeal. His “ravishing” (The Guardian) live performances have sold out concert halls and opera houses all over the world.
As an exclusive recording artist for Warner Classics/Erato, Jakub has earned critical acclaim for his recordings of undiscovered early music gems; his most recent recording, Beyond, was named one of The Times’ best classical albums of 2023. Jakub’s discography continues to expand to new horizons - in Spring, he releases a new recording of Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, representing his directorial debut. His next album, due in Fall 2024, reimagines baroque music with pop instruments including drums and bass guitar.
Upcoming highlights of Jakub’s 2024 season include European tours of his previous albums (Facce d’amore, Stabat mater and Farewells) as well as a US tour of the Beyond programme. In June, he stars as Licida in Jean-Christophe Spinosi’s acclaimed production of L’Olimpiade at the Theatre des Champs-Elysses.
