British tenor Kieran White continues to enjoy success in the UK and is rapidly establishing himself as a sought after soloist in mainland Europe and North America, working with many of the world’s leading ensembles and festivals.

A noted interpreter of Bach, Kieran’s engagements include Johannes Passion (Evangelist) with the Hans-Sachs-Chor Nürnberg, the Wells Cathedral Choir and Réjouissance and Manchester Baroque and the Choir of Manchester Cathedral, Johanes Passion (tenor solos) with Ars Musica, the Bristol Bach Choir and the Hans Sachs-Chor at Basilika Waldsasse, Matthäus-Passion (Evangelist) with Concerto d'Amsterdam and the Deventer Vocaal Ensemble, the Huddersfield Choral Society and the South Bucks Choral Society, Matthäus-Passion (Tenor Solos) with Ars Musica, Collegium Vocale Briela, Amsterdam Baroque, Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht and the Copenhagen Soloists, Weihnachtsoratorium (Evangelist and Tenor Solo) with Collegium Musicum, Bergen and PHIL Haarlem, B Minor Mass with Bristol Bach Choir and at the Thuringer Bachwochen in the Erfurt Dom and Cantatas with Amsterdam Baroque.
Other notable concert engagements include Mozart Requiem with the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Messiah at Usher Hall conducted by Sir James MacMillan and Stainer Crucifixion and Monteverdi Vespro della Beata Vergine with Edvard Grieg Kor. Kieran has given solo recitals at the Sherborne Festival, the Legion d’honneur chapelle (Paris), Theatre Basse Passière (Normandie) and La Ferme Aux Arts (Bourgogne). He has worked with many of today’s leading conductors including Christophe Rousset, Ton Koopman, John Eliot Gardiner, Ed Gardner, Benjamin Bayl, Paul Agnew, Stephan Mcleoud, Chiara Cattani, Lionel Meunier and Stephan Plewniak.
Upcoming engagements include Handel Messiah with the New York Philharmonic conducted by Ton Koopman, King Arthur and The Fairy Queen with Vox Luminis, First Isrealite in Handel Esther and Mathan Athaliah with Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and Choir and a revival season of Castor CASTOR ET POLLUX with Warsaw Chamber Opera.
Born in Dorset, England, Kieran began his musical studies as a chorister in Sherborne Abbey, later joining the renowned Wells Cathedral Choir, going on to make a solo appearance on BBC Songs of Praise and appearing on numerous radio broadcasts, CD recordings and Film soundtracks. Kieran continued his studies at Wells Cathedral School as a tenor, taught by Nigel Perrin and sang in the Wells Cathedral School Chamber Choir and at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, as a Choral Scholar, later singing with the Truro Cathedral Choir in Cornwall. Kieran graduated from the Royal Academy of Music achieving a Master’s with distinction, receiving a Kohn Foundation scholarship as a soloist in their Bach Cantata Series. He is presently a student of renowned haute-contre Jean-Paul Fouchécourt. In 2021, Kieran was awarded 2nd place at the Froville International Baroque Singing Competition and in 2022 won 1st place at the Aria Borealis Bodø Singing Competition.
