Winner of the Concorso Internazionale di Canto Barocco 'Francesco Provenzale', Silvia Frigato regularly collaborates with conductors such as Rinaldo Alessandrini, Fabio Biondi, Gianluca Capuano, Claudio Cavina, Ottavio Dantone, Antonio Florio, John Eliot Gardiner, Daniele Gatti, Philippe Herreweghe, Sigiswald Kuijken, Václav Luks, Stefano Montanari, Federico Maria Sardelli.
Engagements in past seasons include: Il Vespro della Beata Vergine with the Monteverdi Choir conducted by Gardiner; L'Incoronazione di Poppea at La Scala and Jommelli’s L‘isola disabitata in Naples with Alessandrini; Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice and Pelléas et Mélisande in Florence; Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in Rome and Bilbao; Biber’s Missa Salisburgensis at the Salzburg Festival conducted by Vaclac Luks; La Serva Padrona at the Purtimiro Festival in Lugo; a concert with music by Anton Webern in Bologna; De Falla's El retablo de Maese Pedro at the Teatro Regio in Parma; La Maddalena ai piedi di Cristo in Prague and Dresden and L’isola disabitata in Seville.
She is a regular guest at La Fenice in Venice, where she performed Mirandolina (title role) by Martinů, La sonnambula (Lisa), Cefalo and Procri by Krenek, Stabat Mater by Pergolesi, Il Re Pastore, Pinocchio by Valtinoni and Le Baruffe by Battistelli.
She teaches at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome.
