Reinhild Waldek is an internationally acclaimed specialist in the field of historical harps. Her great musical passion is continuo playing of early Baroque music on the triple harp, but Renaissance (here in the double function as harpist and recorder player) and early Classical music are also among her favourite genres.
She performs with various ensembles (L'Orfeo Barockorchester, Vivante, Catacoustic Consort, Marini Consort Innsbruck, Rosarum Flores, Barucco, Les Cornets Noirs, Tasto Solo, L'Arpeggiata, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin) at international early music festivals (Resonanzen Wien, Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, Styriarte Graz, Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht, Musica Antiqua Festival Brugge, AMUZ Antwerp, etc.) and has already performed in many concerts. etc.) and has already taken part in numerous CD recordings.
Reinhild Waldek completed her studies at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz (Carin van Heerden, Johannes Mastnak and Birgit Trawöger) and with Walter van Hauwe, Sébastien Marq and Christina Pluhar in The Hague. In 2003, she graduated from the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague with a Master of Music.
In addition to her work as a concert musician, Reinhild Waldek also works with great enthusiasm and commitment as a music school teacher in Tyrol and, as the mother of two wonderful children, is busy around the clock anyway.
