Schedule for the Innsbruck Festival 2021
With the 45th Innsbruck Festival of Early Music from July 13th to August 29th, 2021 an anniversary is just around the corner.
The sounds of the successful Festwochen summer 2020 still resonate, while the Festwochen team is working with a lot of vigor and energy on finalizing the program for summer 2021.
How the festival can take place depends on the developments in the COVID-19 pandemic. The program presentation and the start of ticket sales will be postponed from December 2020 to the end of March 2021. Managing Director Markus Lutz and Operations Director Eva-Maria Sens: “We have decided to postpone the program presentation and the start of ticket sales from December 2020 to the end of March 2021. We thank our audience for their understanding and look forward to the coming anniversary year with great anticipation.” Artistic director Alessandro De Marchi is confident that “next summer, art and culture can be enjoyed again to the fullest”.
Original sound will remain the festival's top priority in 2021. As usual, the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music is dedicated to cultivating Renaissance and Baroque music. The focus is again on three scenic productions. In addition, the audience can experience concerts at historical sites with music from the Middle Ages to the early 19th century. The Innsbruck Festival of Early Music is looking forward to announcing the details of the program in March 2021.
