Mobility
- Our venues are easily accessible by public transport, on foot and by bike, and most of them are barrier-free. Bicycle parking spaces are available at each venue. An ticket for the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music is also valid as a ticket for local public transport in Innsbruck (central area) for 2 hours previous to and after the event. There is also a free shuttle service for events at Schloss Ambras. We actively encourage our guests to travel in an environmentally friendly way.
- We ensure that our employees and artists are accommodated as close as possible to the respective venue.
Catering
- At least half of the meals our caterer offers are vegetarian. In addition, primarily regional and seasonal products are used, preferably of organic quality. Eggs are sourced exclusively from free-range farms, if possible in organic quality, and questionable foods are not offered in general due to animal protection.
- Our caterer purchases drinks in reusable containers and serves them in glasses or reusable cups.
- We do not use aluminium cans, portion packs (e.g. for ketchup, sugar etc.) or disposable capsule systems.
Acquisition
- We minimise purchases of all kinds as far as possible. For necessary products, we generally pay attention to regional origin, existing environmental quality seals and/or the possible involvement of non-profit organisations. We avoid products with long delivery distance from low-wage countries without environmental and social standards.
- We reduce the need for paper to the necessary minimum. The remaining paper is made from 100% recycled material.
- We do not hand out printed matter randomly.
- Our giveaways fulfil the criteria of sustainability. Gifts for our artists are, for example, chocolates from Tiroler Edle.
Energy & Garbage
- We pay attention to the efficient use of water, electricity and heating. As all events take place in summer, no heating and very little lighting is required.
- We set up bins for garbage separation both in the front house and backstage.
Social responsibility
- The accessibility of all venues in detail is mentioned on our website.
- Guests with hearing and/or visual impairments have the opportunity to buy tickets in the front rows.
- We make sure to use neutral language that includes everyone.
- We inform our employees at events for children and young people regarding regulations for the protection of minors and instruct them to comply with them.
We as a team have jointly decided on the implementation as GREEN EVENT TIROL basic and support the necessary measures.
